We do not provide funeral packages, we prefer to take the time to find out what our clients need and to provide only the services they require, this way you pay for what you want rather  than what someone else says you must have.    A breakdown of the main fees and costs is given in our brochure, available for download as a pdf file.  This list is not exhaustive, there are many services we can provide which are not shown, if you need more information please call or email us.

If you are comparing prices with other firms please make sure you are comparing like for like and remember that value for money is also a factor, getting a low price is fine provided you get the service and attention you were expecting.  A funeral is one of the most important events in a family, you can only say goodbye to a loved family member once, we will do everything in our power to make the occasion as special as possible for you.  A well carried out funeral forms a large first step in the grieving process. 

These days there are many different options available to the bereaved, one of the main ones being the choice of coffin; the traditional oak coffins are still favoured by many.

Pre-planning and pre-payment

There are a growing number of options available to the public today when seeking to pre-plan and pre-pay their final wishes. We can tailor a plan that's right for you. We provide the Independent Way funeral plans by Golden Charter.  The Independent Way allows us to determine exactly what is required and to price the plan accordingly, as with our funerals you only pay for the services you want.  Setting up the plan is easy, we will spend an hour or so discussing your needs and working out the costs, we can then fill in the forms and you can relax knowing that everything is taken care of.  You can pay in a single payment or pay instalments over any period up to ten years, instalments over one year (deposit and eleven payments) are interest free.  Payments are normally taken by Direct Debit.

Pre-paying can protect you and your family from future inflationary trends while providing the piece of mind of knowing that they will be cared for after you are gone.

Please note, we guarantee that our fees are covered by our plans, we cannot guarantee the disbursements as these fees are set by other providers (City Council, Parish Councils etc) and are out of our control.  Plans will keep pace with the average rise in funeral costs, if any service (eg crematorium or cemetery fees) should be increased beyond that rate we may need to ask the family for the balance.  Even if this were to happen the amount would probably be relatively small compared to the total cost of the funeral.  If, on the other hand, there is an excess in the fund at the time of the funeral any money left over will be returned to the family or estate to be used as they feel fit.
